Our passion is leading others to worship Jesus Christ. We love training and equipping churches to grow stellar worship teams.

We are partnering with Living Harvest Church to create a worship team from their existing congregation. We will be working with them for the next 4 weeks.

Pastor Noah Stusek offered the training opportunity to his congregation. Tuesday night we had 7 members show up. the volunteers had little to no prior musical experience, but were willing to learn. An open heart and mind is the first step to allow the Spirit to move.

The Heart of Worship

Before we even touch the instruments or start talking about music, we first need the members to understand “why” we worship. We focus on the role of the worship team to lead the congregation towards God, giving Him praise and thanksgiving. We make sure everyone’s hearts are checked – this is not a performance, and it is not about personal showmanship. It’s about God. A great worship team is a team that becomes transparent to the congregation, where the member’s of the church can connect directly with God during the time of praise and prayer and we as a church invite the Holy Spirit to join us.

Next we asked the volunteers what instruments they preferred to learn and starting teaching basics for playing through worship songs. We teamed people up on instruments so they could help each other work through the skills we taught them.

Within 2 hours we had the group play through 2 full songs, and with the basics we taught them, they have sufficient training to play hundreds of contemporary worship songs.

Worshiping as a Team

The next step is to have the team learn an entire set of songs. We will also help church leadership with the processes, systems, and licenses required to support corporate worship.

This will be a multi-part series as we continue to work and grow the team. We’ll keep you updated so you can witness the progress.
