In the presence of such overwhelming beauty and splendor, I can’t help but feel so small. Just as God cares about the tiniest details of His creation, God also cares about you and I–as small and as insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things–we are significant to God.
Before the fall of man, every day Adam and Eve would spend time walking with God during the cool of the day. They set aside a specific time to meet with God, speak directly to Him, and just be in His presence.
Many times in life, God calls us to do something for His glory that we feel we might not necessarily possess the skills to tackle on our own; the truth is, we don’t. So we wrestle with trying to reconcile our desire to do God’s work with our all-too-evident sense of lack—many a well-meaning Christian finds themselves stuck here and usually for much longer than intended.
When the storms of life roll in, where, or to whom, do you turn to for refuge? For hope in trying times? Who do you pour your heart out to?
To those outside the church, please know you are welcome. I encourage you to church view, I encourage you to bring your entire gaggle of children into these old historical buildings. Come and see our church history, but more importantly, see our church as it is today. Hopefully, you will find it alive and well. Most importantly I hope you find Jesus, as I hope we are displaying Christ’s love to you and your family.
You willingly spend time with those in your life that you love, shouldn’t you make the same commitment to your Lord and Savior? Pray in the good times, pray in the bad times – Prayers of praise and prayers of need.
We call on the Lord, and he answers. How much credit do we give God, the all powerful Creator of the Universe? Do we only pray for the small trivial things in life, secretly admitting if it’s not answered we won’t be too upset? Do you approach God with doubt? As you know Him through personal prayer you will come closer to knowing the Power of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the big things, put your faith in God.
Communication is key to any relationship. It’s how we connect, we share, and learn. That is why prayer is so important. It is the foundation of our faith because it builds our personal relationship with Jesus.
You are going to have a challenge to overcome this year. A battle to fight this month. A struggle this week. Maybe even an argument today.
